The requirement to take a B+E test when towing a trailer over 3500kg train weight was abolished on 16th December 2021. This is great news for the leisure vehicle industry as new caravan owners no longer need to take an additional test. However, it does not remove the need for awareness training if you have never towed a trailer or caravan before. Felicity's Driver Training offers bespoke courses to help you gain confidence when towing at home and abroad.

Introduction to Caravanning
This course is designed to give you all the tools and skills you'll need to get you on the road with your caravan. The course includes;
how to load a caravan safely and how to calculate the correct nose weight to ensure a stable towing unit.
how to hitch a car and caravan and carry out all safety checks before beginning a journey.
Levelling a caravan using ramps and chocks
reversing a caravan in a straight line and onto a pitch
towing the caravan through town and country routes to help you gain confidence in dealing with all kinds of road and traffic conditions.
You can even use our caravan providing your towing vehicle has an AL-KO compatable tow ball and you supply an additional rear number plate and towing mirrors. You must be entitled and fit to drive and hold a valid UK Driving licence for your class of vehicle.
